Number Pup is a free phone number formatter tool that helps you quickly clean up messy phone numbers from the web to connect with anyone via WhatsApp, text message, or phone call. We got sick of constantly trying to reformat phone numbers from the internet and Google Maps just to check whether the business could be contacted via WhatsApp and then needing to reformat the number again to call or text the business on our phone. Number Pup is a great tool to quickly check the existence of the business's WhatsApp presence before giving them a call or text as a backup, all with no contact creation required.

Does Number Pup save my data or phone numbers?
No! Number Pup never sends or saves your data to any server. All formatting happens right in your browser on your device. Your recent numbers are stored locally on your device only. Nothing is ever transmitted to any third party.
What does "Recent Pups" mean?
Recent Pups shows your last 3 phone numbers that you've formatted and contacted. This history is stored only on your local device in your browser cache. It never leaves your phone or computer. If you clear your browser data, your Recent Pups will be erased.
Which country codes does Number Pup support?
Number Pup supports 150+ international country codes including: US (+1), UK (+44), AU (+61), NZ (+64), Canada (+1), India (+91), Germany (+49), France (+33), and many more!
What phone number formats are accepted?

Why won't my number work?
Make sure you've selected the correct country code and the number has enough digits (usually 7-15 digits). For international numbers, either include the + or select the right country.
Why did WhatsApp say "The phone number isn't on WhatsApp"?
While Number Pup is a great way to test whether a business uses WhatsApp, it's ultimately up to the business to set up their number in WhatsApp. If they haven't, you'll just have to go old school and text or call them. That's what the other buttons in Number Pup are for.
